remakes of lara is simply put, eight reworkings of lara brodsky's
piece for voice and loop pedal, offering the mandala. nearly a
year ago we approached lara about centering a luvsound project around her piece. a few seasons later, the work has been put
through eight different reimaginings, including one by lara herself.
we're incredibly excited with the results. each remake explores
the source material from a different and interesting angle, exploding the original into a nearly hour long meditiation. please
brew a pot of tea, find a comfortable spot, and enjoy.

artist statement
Lara Brodsky resides in new york city. Cellist and vocalist, performs pop, rock,
electronic, contemporary, and classical.
uses music as gateway for altering and transcending reality.
fights illusions of darkness with light, sword and shield; bow and cello.
eats, breathes, and dreams sound.
tsukimono is swedish sound artist johan gustovsson.
as tsukimono he has released an impressive catalog of recordings on numerous labels including
Kning Disc and Fukk God Lets Create.

bryan teoh is a Brooklyn based composer, performer, and
new media artist. Teoh currently performs solo electro-acoustic sets using his guitar and
custom max/msp patches, creates live visual environments for video artists and theater
productions, and is a member of the improvisatory group, icelu. He has previously
released "icelu Live at Riverview Lounge" on Luvsound as well as an early recording
from his Piano Drone series, and has been featured on compilations by Digitalbiotope
and Skyapnea Recordings. Bryan currently oversees production at Luvsound.

middlemarch, his second full length recording as he can jog, is due in may of 2008 on
audiobulb records.

stephan mathieu is a percussionist and sound artist who
lives and works in Saarbrücken, Germany. His recent work utilizes digital and microphonic
processing techniques to transform concrete sound. he has released his work on a number of
labels including mille plateaux, tigerbeat6, and Häpna.

Nomad Palace is Nate Zabriskie of Milwaukee Wisconsin.
He is in his mid-twenties. He likes bodies of water and breakfast cereal. He reads books on occasion.
For no particular reason, he has a B.A. in psychology. Nomad Palace is his solo project. He also plays laptop and
synthesizer in the band Cedar A.V.

lives, works, and volunteers in New Orleans, Louisiana;
where he begins medical studies in August.
implex grace is michael p goodman from chicago, illinois. as implex
grace he has amassed a growing collection of recordings and toured the US with doron sadja and zeljko mcmullen.
his implex grace project is currently in transistion.
